Stain Removal Tips

Tackle stains effectively by matching your cleaner to the surface. Use mild soaps with wax on delicate gel coats, and acid-based cleaners (oxalic or diluted muriatic acid) for tough waterline scum. For vehicles, always blot, don't scrub upholstery to prevent liquids from embedding deeper.

Boat & Marine Hull Stains

  • Waterline & Tannin Stains: Treat stubborn brown or yellow stains by wetting the area and applying oxalic-acid based cleaners like Bar Keepers Friend or Star brite Instant Hull Cleaner. Let it sit briefly before rinsing.

  • Hard Water Spots: Spray a 50/50 mix of white vinegar and distilled water, let it dwell for 5 minutes, and wipe clean.

  • Non-Skid Decks: Use a specialized Non-Skid Deck Cleaner paired with a medium-to-stiff bristle brush to lift embedded grime.

  • Scuff Marks: Wet a Mr. Clean Magic Eraser and gently buff out rubber transfers or light scuffs without dulling the wax.

Vehicle Stains

  • Fabric & Upholstery: Blot spills immediately with a microfiber towel using RHINO'S All Purpose Cleaner or RHINO'S Interior Cleaner

  • Leather: Avoid harsh chemicals; use a pH-balanced Leather Cleaner and a soft-bristled brush, then wipe with a dry cloth.

  • Fuel & Oil: Contain the spill quickly with an absorbent pad. Gently scrub using an automotive degreaser or marine-safe soap, then rinse thoroughly.

  • Glass & Windows: Remove water spots or bug residue by spraying RHINO'S Glass Cleaner agitating with a soft brush, and wiping dry with a microfiber towel.

Pro-Tip for Both Vehicles & Boats

  • Rinse Thoroughly: Acidic cleaners should never be allowed to dry on surfaces or run into unrinsed metal hardware.

  • Protect After Cleaning: Always follow up stain removal with a protective sealant or wax. Applying protective sprays immediately shields porous finishes from future water spots

How to Apply

  • Shake the bottle well before use.

  • Spray APC directly onto the surface you wish to clean.

  • Allow the product to sit for 30 seconds or more to loosen dirt and grime.

  • Agitate with a brush or microfiber towel as needed.

  • Wipe clean with a damp cloth or rinse with water if necessary.

The golden rule for both vehicles and boats is to clean from top to bottom and avoid harsh detergents like dish soap, which strip protective wax. Always wash in the shade to prevent water spots. For best results, use marine-specific or pH-neutral automotive soaps along with microfiber wash mitts to protect clear coats and gel coats.

Vehicle Cleaning Routine

A consistent routine protects your car's paint from rust and road grime.

  • Pre-Rinse & Wheels: Spray down the entire car with a hose to remove loose dirt. Clean your wheels and tires first using dedicated wheel cleaners to avoid splashing brake dust onto clean paint.

  • The Two-Bucket Method: Use one bucket for soapy water and one for clean water. Rinse your mitt in the clean water before dipping back into the soap.

  • Dry: Use a microfiber drying towel or a leaf blower to dry the car quickly, which prevents unsightly hard water spots.

  • Protect: Apply a spray wax or ceramic sealant every 1-2 months to maintain a glossy shine and UV protection.

Boat Cleaning Routine

Boats face harsher environments (sun, salt, and scum) and require a specialized touch.

  • After Every Outing: Rinse the hull, engine, and trailer down with fresh water immediately after pulling the boat from the water. Wipe down vinyl seats and non-skid floors to prevent mildew.

  • Deep Clean (Bi-Weekly or Monthly): Work top to bottom—clean the tower or windshield first, then decks, and finish with the hull. [

  • Vinyl Care: Use a pH-balanced vinyl cleaner and a soft brush for creases. Avoid Magic Erasers as they can strip the top protective layer off vinyl over time.

  • Hull & Gel Coat: Use a dedicated water spot remover for stubborn mineral deposits, followed by marine-safe wax or ceramic spray to maintain the gel coat's shine
